Investment Management

Schulfer & Associates, LLC Financial Professionals is an independent firm. Therefore, as LPL Investment Advisor Representatives, we are able to manage your investments without bias to any particular financial entity. That is, we do not work for a bank, insurance company, or other specific investment corporation. Our independence allows us to provide true objective, impartial advice to our clients when managing their investments.

Whether you are looking for an advisor to manage your investments for the first time, replace an existing advisor or simply may be interested in a review of your current portfolio, these are some of the common questions we can help you answer:

  • Are my investments too risky?
  • Is it possible to avoid large losses in my portfolio the next time that the market goes down?
  • Is there a disciplined management process in place?
  • Is it possible to generate more income from my current investments?
  • Do all of my investments have to be “in the market”?
  • Are my current management fees reasonable and customary?
  • Should my current investments be changed due to lack of performance?
  • How often should I meet with my advisor?

We are independent, so your interests always come first because there are no company investments to consider or sales quotas to meet. We will design a client portfolio according to the core values of our wealth planning and investment management strategies, which are independent advice, high level research, and active, tactical management of investment accounts.

Wealth Planning

Planning is the compass that sets the course for your life. Through careful, comprehensive planning and guidance, you have a much better chance at pursuing the dreams that are nearest to your heart, such as college planning, adequately preparing for and effecting your retirement, as well as passing along your estate in a manner that is consistent with your wishes and values while working to minimize estate taxation.

Wealth management is based on the idea that even small changes can yield large gains in your family’s lifetime finances. You will receive a bound copy of your Wealth Plan, which will include detailed analysis of what is applicable to you. Examples may include a “current state of the family address” showing a current appraisal of your net worth, your projected net worth at any given year in the future, employer benefits analysis, retirement preparedness, a spending plan with cash flow analysis, social security options, estate planning with flow charts, tax analysis, business planning, sudden money analysis, conversion strategies, business planning, and more.

Some of the common questions that we can help you answer are:

  • Do I need a Wealth Plan?
  • Are my assets in the most productive place?
  • Am I on track?
  • How do I know whether I am making the right decisions with my retirement choices?
  • How do I know whether the all of the decisions I am making will work well together?
  • What will the impact of taxation be on my estate when I die?

Consulting Services

Do you have a specific need for which you would like advice? Examples could be social security planning, timing of selling an investment real estate or a business, early retirement, or others. Whether or not we manage your investments, we would be happy to engage in a consulting agreement to provide you with advice on these or other important decisions. You will receive detailed written analysis showing various side-by-side comparisons of your options. We can “stress test” each option with “what-if’s”.

Common “what if’s” may include the effects of future bear market, the consequences of rising tax rates and potential high inflation, premature death, timing comparisons and more.

Sometimes, opportunities exist that may save a client money, provide better coverage, or even consolidate existing policies.”
